Tank Farm

OSL has an ambitious and strategic plan to build captive oil storage tanks to ensure seamless supply of oil to the entire hinterland and safeguard national interest.

OSL Tank Farm Project

The proposed project is a greenfield project of Tank Farm being developed for providing dedicated liquid. storage facilities to private oil marketing companies, thereby ending their dependency on terminals operated by state owned undertakings like IOCL and HPCL. The product inputs will be received through a dedicated pipeline from the North Oil Jetty (NOJ) where petroleum tankers will berth to deliver the products. Primary objective of the proposed terminal is to provide white POL like HSD and MS storage facilities to oil marketing companies along with ethanol blending capability. The indicative operating process for the same as follows:

  • The product inputs will be received at the North Oil Jetty (NOJ) either using our unloading arms or direct pipe connecting to the tanker vessel.
  • Product inputs will be transported to the tanks through dedicated pipelines from the jetty head to our tank farm which will be connected to respective tanks through individual sub headers.
  • Product inputs will then flow from tanks to loading pump house and then finally to the TLF Gantry through the internal network of pipelines laid down for individual products.
  • Ethanol will be mixed with MS while loading MS in Tank truck at the Loading Gantry. Ethanol will have dedicated pump and metering system to deliver the desired quantity along with MS.
